AMK: Memorandum Kepada Kedutaan Palestin

MEMORANDUM FOR
AMBASSADOR OF PALESTINE (MALAYSIA)

FRIDAY, 2 MARCH 2012

A FIRM STAND OF SUPPORT ON THE STRUGGLES &
UPHOLDING THE RIGHTS OF PALESTINE
AND
TO URGE SUPPORT OF CONDEMNATION
TOWARDS HYPOCRICY OF THE GOVERNMENT OF MALAYSIA
AS A TRADING PARTNER and RELATED TIES with
ZIONIST ISRAEL STATE

Assalamualaikum wrt wbt

ANGKATAN MUDA KEADILAN (AMK) MALAYSIA of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (Youth Wing of People’s Justice Party of Malaysia) hereby today through this documentation and handover of memorandum to your highest ranking diplomat of Palestine State embassy in our country Malaysia, for the following purposes :-

1.A FIRM STAND OF SUPPORT ON THE STRUGGLES & UPHOLDING THE RIGHTS OF PALESTINE AS A SOVEREIGN STATE

Inline with People’s Justice Party of Malaysia (KEADILAN) core principles and practise primarily focussing among others on human rights issues, the leadership of AMK MALAYSIA vividly again wish to declare and ensure your comfort of trust and our undeniable show of support for the cause and struggle of Palestinians with your homeland to be recognised as a sovereign and Islamic state (al-dawla al-Islamiyya) acknowledged by the world power especially Malaysia with ISLAM as our official religion as stated in our constitution.

AMK of KEADILAN as the official Youth Wing of KEADILAN with DATO SERI ANWAR IBRAHIM as our highest leader in party ranking has always been consistent and true in standing by to our words of principle and actions of deed which can never be in judgmental in any form or situation for the cause of Palestine and its political turmoil that is sadly disgraced by the politics of certain quater world hegemony powers that do not wish to Palestinians live freely, peacefully and independently especially as an Islamic State that the world and Muslim Brotherhood UMMAH can be proud of.

BELOW ARE SUBSTANTIVE EVIDENCES OF ANWAR IBRAHIM’S COMMITTMENT FOR THE CAUSE OF ISLAM, PALESTINE ANDOTHERS RELATED TO IT.

REMARKS ON ISRAEL, APCO AND 1MALAYSIA

Anwar has made numerous remarks about a supposed conspiracy among the Malaysian government, APCO (a public relations firm retained by the Malaysian government), Israel, and the United States. Anwar has condemned the Malaysian government for seeking advice from APCO and provided substantial evidence that the APCO firm is linked to the “murder of Muslims in Palestine.” And that APCO is a front for the Israeli government firm was controlled by Jews and working on behalf of the American government to influence Malaysian foreign policy and implied that changes in Malaysian foreign policy could only be explained if Jews were manipulating Malaysia for the United States. (Which had impact on Anwar Ibrahim to a disciplinary committee of the Malaysian parliament investigating his comments and later for 6 months not allowed, banned from participating in Parliament debates and sessions. To add on 22 April 2010 Anwar was censured by Malaysia’s parliament for remarks he made during a press conference in parliament on 30 March 2010 eventhough Anwar Ibrahim have documents linking 1Malaysia, One Israel, and the public relations firm APCO).

In a press conference at the London School of Economics Anwar made comments about Zionists and “nasty Jews”.

In May 2010, B’nai B’rith International, a prominent Jewish human rights organization condemned Anwar in a letter to the United States Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, claiming that Anwar was a “purveyor of anti-Jewish hatred” and asked the American government to suspend all contact with Anwar Ibrahim even however Anwar has often been mocked for having “Jewish friends.” In homeland Malaysia, former Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohammad even went so far as to say Anwar Ibrahim “would make a good prime minister for Israel.” In return, Anwar seized proof Prime Minister Dato Sri Najib Tun Abdul Razak hiring of APCO on the firm’s supposed ties to Israel.

2. TO URGE SUPPORT OF CONDEMNATION TOWARDS HYPOCRICY OF THE GOVERNMENT OF MALAYSIA AS A TRADING PARTNER WITH ISRAEL

AMK of KEADILAN today also wishes to address our utmost disgust to the hypocricy potrait by the UMNO BN (UNITED MALAYS NATIONAL ORGANIZATION-BARISAN NASIONAL). This is especially in the latest development of clear evidences covered by wide media coverage on the trading ties and allowing Israel business links trading companies and its cargo to sail in Port Klang State of Selangor Darul Ehsan and have business ties which is undeniable and ever since remained silent by UMNO BN. This act of ongoing denial is a shame to the traits of our UMNO BN (UNITED MALAYS NATIONAL ORGANIZATION-BARISAN NASIONAL) coalition led government in trying to so called itself as a government adhering to mediocrity of falsehood Islamiyyah Wasatiyyah. All these can be denied through study of government policies and implementation of activies in arts, sports, education especially business and trading with Zionists government Israel.

Latest of double standard act by UMNO BN is through the revelation of letters between former Prime Mininster Tun Dr Mahathir Mohammad during his primiership with Israel under the tenureship of Yitzhak Rabin to have diplomatic ties in nearby time and only acknowledging FATAH leaders and not supporting the HAMAS aspiration leadership by the mass majority of Palestinians. This is evidence Malaysia was to comfort the United States of America especially Israel.

We strongly believe that UMNO BN Government had purposely misabused its power and created confusion to the people especially Malaysian citizens, in homeland and abroad and with high ranks of political personnel among the Islamic parties as well as Non-Governmental organization carrying the banner of jihad of struggles for the rights of Palestian cause and achieving an end to your Palestine country’s dismay for more than half a century since 1948.

Furthermore this is againt the noble teachings of the Holy Quran sent down by Allah s.w.t. in commanding truth, justice, equality and transparency, and condemning such wrath act of falsehood and slandering worthy to be labelled as Munafiqeen (those who incite nifaq and fitnah). This is seen in view of UMNO’s motive to potray a bad and false image upon Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s credibility as the Head Of Opposition for Malaysia’s Lower House of Parliament (Dewan Rakyat) as well as as a consistent supporter and advocate of Palestinian cause and rights to be respected as a sovereign state in its own soil.

Therefore we call upon your Embassy to show support on our struggle to reveal this act of hypocricy by UMNO BN government and seek demand and apology for their unethical, unIslamic behaviour as a Muslim led government to protect the good name of Islam, Malaysia and our ties and feelings for Palestine’s cause.

Thank you. Wassalam.

PKR: Pendedahan surat Mahathir bukti dakwaan Anwar benar

The truth about Malaysia and Israel

Oleh: Hafidz Baharom

FEB 3 — It comes as no surprise that Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim got into trouble with the federal government and Umno when he came out stating that he would support a final resolution to begin lifting sanctions against Israel.

After all, there are already Malaysians booing Israeli footballers. And Malaysia was not the first nation to start discriminating against Jews, Zionists and Israel, all three of which I look upon separately. Heck, don’t look at Germany alone. If one were to head to MPH, you can find a collection of anti-Semitic articles written by Henry Ford, the person who started the Ford Motor Group ages ago called “The International Jew”, which is available in four volumes.

Personally, I have no agenda against the Jews. After all, from a Muslim perspective all you have to remind yourself is the knowledge that the last prophet was granted to the descendants of Ismail and not that of Ishak. However, be reminded fellow Muslims that both sons, who gave birth to the Arabs and the Jews, did come together to bury their father Abraham regardless of whatever disputes they had.

That being said, let’s talk a bit about Israel and the truth about Malaysia’s relationship with the country. Israel has been lobbying for Malaysia to recognise them and begin relations through diplomacy and trade. In fact, from an online document from the Centre of Jewish Affairs forwarded to me by a friend, it seems clear that it is not the Malaysian head of the opposition who is wrong, but our federal government which would rather continue this policy of bedevilling the Zionists than tell the Malaysian people the truth.

It is easy to blame the Zionists and state that the Jews “owned everything”, a trademark of Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s constant speeches to the Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC), especially during the economic crisis when George Soros was blamed for everything. Funnily enough, nobody stood up to blame Soros a decade later during the current economic downturn.

After all, if one were to watch a documentary called “Inside Job” you will see Soros denying any involvement by stating that he is an “old school” person who did not believe in the US system. It is even more disturbing when you see a picture of Mahathir being friendly with Soros, as posted by Jeff Ooi on his blog years after.

We have been trading with Israel for some time already. We have been sending Malaysians — royals, business leaders and students — at one point to Israel for some time now. In fact, until the period of Mahathir’s 23 years in office as prime minister, our bilateral ties were honestly quite diplomatic but not done within our own borders. Only during the period of Mahathir did it become a nationwide condemnation of the Israelis.

And now, people within Umno are stating that should Anwar win, Israel could open a consul in Kuala Lumpur. In fact, some are already hooting that due to this so-called gaffe of his, Umno can now win back Kedah and Kelantan. Really?

Allow me to dampen your glee, fellow Umno people. Let’s take a look at the European Commission’s trade website which details Israel’s trade with the world. According to their charts, Malaysia imports €63.9 million (RM255 million) from Israel, exports €603.7 million to Israel and Malaysia was in fact the 15th largest trade partner of Israel in 2010.

Prime Minister Najib Razak and his government took office when, exactly?

In fact, if we were to go back further, were we doing business with Israel even when Mahathir was prime minister?

According to a paper available online at the Institute of Jewish Affairs website which was published in October 2006, there was the notion of trade with Israel from Malaysia’s side during the Mahathir administration in 1993, and only in mid-January 1996 there began the insinuation of Malaysian trade with Israel, of which it was noted to have “no political significance.”

But what is worth noting is this paragraph from the article:

“In mid-February 1996, however, a Malaysian businessman visited Israel to discuss co-operation between Israeli and Malaysian companies. In late March, a delegation of Malaysian businessmen came to Israel and held talks with heads of chambers of commerce. Although Malaysia’s official boycott of Israeli products still stood, the head of the Malaysian delegation said he had been authorised by the minister of industry and trade. In early May the Israeli Port Authority sponsored an international conference, and a 16-member Malaysian delegation attended with government approval.”

As such, I raise the question again. Who exactly is helping the Zionists? It is not Anwar Ibrahim, but instead our own federal government, which continues to bask in its constant hypocrisy of using the words of the opposition leader against him while they claim brownie points.

* The views expressed here are the personal opinion of the columnist.
* Hafidz Baharom is a social observer who has ruffled more than a few feathers. He has written for a number of publications, and is always looking to stir up discussions on things which need to be said.

Pilihanraya Mesir: Parti Islam Kuasai 65% Undi

Dari Malaysia Chronicle

5 Disember 2011

Negara Palestin Diikhtiraf UNESCO

Dari The Edge Malaysia

1 November 2011

UNESCO grants Palestinians full membership

PARIS (Oct 31): The United Nations’ cultural agency granted the Palestinians full membership on Monday, a step forward in their long-running efforts to achieve recognition before the world as an independent state.

The United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) became the first U.N. agency to welcome the Palestinians as a full member since President Mahmoud Abbas applied for full membership of the United Nations on September 23.

A huge cheer erupted in UNESCO’s General Assembly after the vote, which marks a symbolic victory for Palestinians in the complex diplomacy that surrounds their collective status and relations with foreign powers.

“Today’s victory at UNESCO is the beginning of a road that is difficult, but will lead to the freedom of our land and people from occupation,” Palestinian Foreign Minister Riad Malki said. “Palestine has the right to a place on the map.”

Israel called the vote a “tragedy” and the decision damaged relations between UNESCO and the United States, an ally of Israel that provides about 22 percent of the body’s funding, or some $70 million.

Legislation stipulates that the U.S. can cut off funding to any United Nations agency that accepts Palestinians as a member.

The White House said the vote was “premature” and would not aid peace and the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations said UNESCO would suffer.

“Today’s vote to grant Palestinian membership in UNESCO is no substitute for direct negotiations, but it is deeply damaging to UNESCO,” said Ambassador Susan Rice.

UNESCO director-general Irina Bokova, who previously pleaded for Washington not to withdraw support, told delegates funding may be jeopardized.

“I believe it is the responsibility of all of us to make sure that UNESCO does not suffer unduly… We need each and every member of this organization to be fully engaged,” she added.

FRENCH ABOUT-FACE

The Palestinians got backing from two thirds of UNESCO’s members to become its 195th member. Of 173 countries that voted from a possible 185, 107 voted in favor, 14 voted against, 52 abstained and 12 were absent. Abstentions did not count toward the final tally.

The Palestinians went to UNESCO after making a bid for recognition of the over-arching United Nations system in September before the U.N. Security Council, which has moved the issue to a committee where it is likely to run into a veto from the United States.

“This vote is not directed against anyone, but represents support for freedom and justice,” Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said in a statement to the official news agency WAFA.

“This vote is for the sake of peace and represents international consensus on support for the legitimate Palestinian national rights of our people, the foremost of which is the establishment of its independent state.”

But the breakdown of the vote reflected deep divergences in international views on Palestinian statehood.

The United States, Canada, Germany and Holland voted against Palestinian membership. Brazil, Russia, China, India, South Africa and France voted in favor. Britain and Italy abstained.

For the European Union, which has stumbled in recent efforts to develop a common foreign policy, the UNESCO vote highlighted persistent rifts with some member states voting for and some against Palestinian membership.

Austrian UNESCO ambassador Ursula Plassnik, whose country voted in favor, said she regretted that the EU had failed to arrive at a common position on Palestinian membership.

France, which previously abstained from a vote on the subject of Palestinian membership in UNESCO, broke with precedent to vote in favor on Monday.

“Since it has been raised today, we must assume our responsibilities and respond to the substance of the issue … On the substance, France says “yes”- Palestine has the right to become a member of UNESCO,” said Hubert de Canson, France’s representative at UNESCO.

Israel has said the Palestinian bid would amount to politicization of UNESCO that would undermine its ability to carry out its mandate. It said on Monday it would reconsider its cooperation with the agency.

“We regret that the organization of science has opted to adopt a resolution which is a resolution of science fiction,” said Nimrod Barkan, Israel’s ambassador to UNESCO, who called the move a tragedy for the agency. “There is no Palestinian state and therefore one should not have been admitted today.”

The Israeli foreign ministry said the vote placed unnecessary obstacles on the road to renewing negotiations.

“This is a unilateral Palestinian maneuver which will bring no change on the ground but further removes the possibility for a peace agreement,” it said in a statement. – Reuters
